Sponsor a child

The Australian Cambodian Children’s Taskforce (ACCT) is coordinating the CCD child sponsorship program, enabling Australian sponsors to make a real change in a child’s life. Through ACCT, sponsorship payments are now tax deductible to Australian supporters. Sponsoring a child in the care of the Centre for Child Development is more than a monthly donation – it is a way to show a child care, love and support and it is instrumental in breaking the poverty cycle. Your financial support will help bring a child out of poverty, abuse and starvation. You will help us to provide a child with essential shelter, healthcare, nutritious meals, education and clothing in a safe, caring environment.

How does sponsorship help?

Child sponsorship of $60 per month contributes to the cost of caring for one child at the Centre. Sponsorship is crucial to maintaining the operations of the Centre for Child Development. Your sponsorship ensures the CCD is able to cover the costs of a child’s basic needs such as daily meals, clothing, medical and dental care, school fees and supplies.
The children at the CCD understand the importance of sponsorship and value communicating with their sponsors, providing updates and photos throughout the year. For children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned, feeling the love and support of sponsors is very precious and can aid their recovery and growth.

Hear from the sponsors

“We have been sponsors for children at CCD for over three years. We chose to sponsor a child at CCD after we visited the Centre in Phnom Penh and met the wonderful team of house parents, teachers and the centre staff. We feel privileged and enriched to be part of these kids’ lives and see them grow into smart, loved young people with a bright future” Dana Burrows & Mark Holden (NSW)
